Many Charlotteans agree, one of the most fun things to do in our city is to go to a Charlotte Knights baseball game. Since the stadium has moved Uptown, these games have become a highlight of the Spring and Summer seasons. read more

Britney and Evan’s wedding day way absolutely perfect. These two planned to leave Charlotte and move all the way to San Francisco, California just after their honeymoon so this was truly like a last hooray for them with their family and friends. You could definitely feel the love all day long.  read more

In just a few minutes, I am headed out to lunch with our vendor team from this shoot to celebrate all it’s success and making the cover of Carolina Bride (!!!). If somehow you missed that, check out my first post here. In light of that, I thought this would be the perfect day to share the 2nd half of our shoot and a little bit about how it came about.

This past Saturday was the beginning of our wedding season and I could have asked for a better couple to start with than Holly and David. These two are truly the salt of the earth and their wedding was so genuine and beautiful. Check out my Instagram for a few sneak peeks from their day.

If you haven’t heard by now, I got the amazing opportunity to shoot the COVER of Carolina Bride’s Spring issue.I have known for a couple of months that this post was coming, but I’ve struggled with putting together the words to express how I feel about it… Seriously… SO.MANY.FEELS. Being featured in this magazine is a desire for many of my brides (shoutout to Katie Kelly & Tyler whose wedding was featured in this issue!) and for a photographer who was born and raised in this town and looked as this magazine since I was a little girl, shooting the cover was a dream come true. I honestly couldn’t be more proud.

We shot Kelley Beth and John’s uptown engagement session last fall and I thought their wedding would never come, but somehow it has come and gone, and I’m working on their wedding blog post so I thought I’d share these first. I also can’t wait to share KB’s bridal portraits at the Duke Mansion. They are stunning! read more

Cara and Andrew’s summer wedding day was such a sweet day. These two had people fly in from all over the U.S. to come celebrate and you could just feel the love throughout the day. The Charlotte City Club was the perfect Uptown setting for this stylish couple. I love so many aspects about their wedding details and their send-off was completely adorable so don’t miss that! Thank you, Cara and Andrew for allowing me to be apart of your most special day, I love your images so much! read more

With Spring just around the corner I thought I would take the time to share an editorial feature that I had the opportunity to shoot for Carolina Bride for their Spring 2016 issue. I hoped to share this MUCH earlier than now, but once the issue came out, I was in full blown wedding season and it just never happened… So now is just as good a time as any! read more

A couple months ago, I got the opportunity to photograph Caroline and Knox’s engagement session in Uptown. We had an instant connection because of Knox’s name being the same as my youngest little boy. (Love this name!) They decided to go with a sunrise session and the light was absolutely perfect, not to mention how beautiful our Queen City was looking! These two are getting married in Caroline’s homestate of Texas next year and I am thrilled for them. read more

When I met with Patricia in May of last year, over a year out from her Sept 2016 wedding, I knew from the beginning that she was a bride that I had to work with. Her style fit with mine perfectly, and I loved that beautiful details mattered to her while also being very type A and organized. Just like me! Patricia and Devin’s wedding was soft and airy and so down to earth. I loved every part of it. We got to photograph their bride and groom portraits in the best light of the day and they have turned out to be some of my all-time favorites. Thank you to Lauren with Head Over Heels Events for making this day run so smoothly! read more
