If you know me at all you know that my sister and I are besties. BFF’s. forever and ever. Really, we are so close that we talk on the phone at least 27 times per day. My sweet Canaan even said to me the other day… “why you and auntie talking AGAAIINNN?” He’s two by the way.
So when my sweet nephew Phin arrived a week early, of course I hurried to the hospital to be right by Amy’s side. This labor was much MUCH less difficult than her labor with Emerson, but it definitely still had it’s moments. And of course I took pictures. A lot of them. They are below in this sweet little video I created this afternoon. We praise God for baby Phin as my boys call him, and I am so thankful to have been apart of his birth. Enjoy!

To say that Rachel and Austin’s maternity shoot turned out great would be a serious understatement. These two are beautiful people, inside and out. I love the way these images display their love for each other and their little one on the way. I got to photograph these two with their sweet baby Liam a few weeks ago and it was perfect. Stay tuned for those images in the coming weeks.
One of my favorite things about photographing weddings is that I am usually able to follow my couples well into the days when their family grows from 2 to 3, to 4 to 5…. This just recently happened for Jessica & Mitch as they have just welcomed their sweet baby, Everly into the world. Everly was a perfect angel for our shoot as I hope she continues to be for Jess & Mitch, hehe. Enjoy these portraits of some of my favorite people. Congrats, Hight family!
I have loved watching the Fisher family grow in the past 2 years. I think I have photographed each of their milestones since their son Maddex was born. I recently got the opportunity to meet their newest little one, Stella and take some newborn portraits. We got some sweet shots with a special gift that Stella’s grandpa gives to little girls in the family, a Raggedy Ann and Andy Doll. I have so many great memories with these dolls as a child and it was fun to see them again. Stella’s big brother Maddex did amazing during the family shots and gave me his adorable smile anytime I asked. I really like shooting these in-home sessions, they are just so intimate and personal and this one was no exception. Enjoy this sweet family.
Little Miss Stella Bea has been long awaited by so many who love her. She gets her name from her grandmother, a great example and influence is so many lives including mine. ‘Bea’ comes from Memama Stella’s best friend. I bet these 2 wonderful ladies never thought their names would be put together to name a precious new one. The locket in these images belonged to Memama Stella and I just love the classic element it adds. This baby girl is the perfect addition to the Weddington family and her big brothers are already so in love as you will see. I’m so happy I get to be apart of your life Miss Stella Bea, I can’t wait to see what a wonderful woman you will become!
The Weddington family are some of our favorite friends. We have been doing life with them for quite a long time, before any of us were married and all the little ones started arriving. James and Blair have two sweet boys, Roman and Lincoln, so when Blair got pregnant for the 3rd time, hopes were high that this was their little girl. Sure enough Miss Stella Bea decided to make her appearance. She is here now and I can’t wait to share her newborn shoot in a few weeks. But for now, enjoy this sweet family as they anticipated this little girl. I love their interaction with one another and Blair is so beautiful rocking her baby bump.
It has been a rare occurrence that I have ever been able to get through a Newborn Session without many baby cries. It is hard work being photographed, changing clothes, being placed in random objects, and I don’t blame these little ones for being unhappy about it at times. But Caroline, she was another story. I literally never heard her cry the entire time I was in her home. She was a perfect angel and slept right through her over 2 hour session. This didn’t really surprise me though, because Josh and Sarah are some of the most laid back clients I have ever had. Of course they would have the most laid back baby. I could already see that these two and taking on parenthood with so much grace and I can’t wait to see Caroline grow up to be a beautiful little lady. Enjoy this sweet one, this session is definitely one of my favorites.
I could not be more thrilled for Devon and Jonathan for the arrival of their sweet little boy, Shepherd (Shep). This is a strong Christian family and so they found this name most meaningful for their first born son, as they hope for him to ‘shepard’ his siblings who follow behind in a way that glorifies God. I absolutely love it when names have a deeper meaning than what you see on the surface and this is by far one of my favorites! I know Devon and Jonathan are going to be amazing parents and I can’t wait to see the young boy that Shep will grow into. I am to blessed to have been able to meet these two (now three) and be apart of such an intimate time in their lives. Enjoy this sweet one.
Gale is an old friend from high school and I was so excited when she contacted me to schedule a 3 month session for her new baby girl, Scarlett. This little girl was one of the easiest babies to photograph. She was so content the entire time and even gave us some sweet smiles from time to time. Gail and Rob are so blessed to have such a sweet thing join their family. Enjoy!
Susan and Curt are one of my favorites couples ever. Susan is a friend from college and the first time I met Curt was when him and Susan got re-dressed in their wedding clothes for a portrait session, when my business was just getting off the ground. Since then, these 2 have stayed in touch and stayed loyal to me for their photography needs. Such a wonderful way to keep up with their growing family! Susan and Curt are expecting their first little one come December and I can’t wait to meet him or her (they are finding out gender)! It is so clear how much these 2 love each other and Susan is just glowing in these images. Their dog Ruby even made a debut in these first few photos. Enjoy.
